We received a concerning report about a mother dog and her newborn puppies in a shelter. Rescued from the streets, she managed to navigate the shelter without tripping over her rope.
The tiny puppies, not even a few days old and smaller than a palm, seemed to be facing a grave threat to their lives. Despite the challenges in the shelter, we remain optimistic that, after about a month and a half of careful care, they will grow up healthy and become ready for adoption.
The mother dog looked at us with pleading eyes, as if saying, "Please help my puppies, please."
Fast forward three days, and the mother and her puppies are now in a safe and secure environment. Unfortunately, all the mother dogs and their puppies were dealing with tick-worm infections. Mimi, the mother, is now radiating happiness, but it's hard to ignore the tears that kept falling from her eyes, infested with insects.
Contemplating Mimi's past, one can only imagine the length and severity of the life an abandoned dog endures in such harsh conditions.
Mimi's treatment for heartworm and skin disease is still underway after ten days, but she's gaining weight and showing signs of improvement. All the mothers and puppies are now in good health, with the little ones growing rapidly. They are now open for adoption, eagerly awaiting a new, loving family.
Mimi, now forever content, stands as a testament to the well-deserved second chance she's found in life. A sincere thank you to everyone for their unwavering support!
