Abandoned on the roadside, immobile and burdened by a massive stomach tumor, his plight seemed dire. Abandoning him in that helpless state was not an option.
The "Helen Summerfield-Brown" nonprofit, comprising dedicated volunteers committed to rescuing stray and neglected animals, stumbled upon this distressed dog in desperate need. Without hesitation, they arranged for his swift transport to the hospital, where urgent medical intervention became his lifeline.
His condition was dire, marked by signs that the tumor was taking a toll on his life as he had stopped eating. Midnight, as he was aptly named, safely reached the veterinarians who promptly conducted blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound, revealing a myriad of issues including hookworms, anemia, and malnourishment.
Regrettably, due to Midnight's critically low blood platelet count, an immediate surgery to remove the tumor was not possible, as it would have proven fatal. Racing against time, the medical team conducted exhaustive blood tests to pinpoint the optimal window for the life-saving procedure.
Midnight, a cherished and unique canine, underwent a successful surgery, parting ways with a colossal 4.85-pound testicular tumor. "The burden on his frail little body is now lifted, and I am elated for him. Witnessing Midnight take a few steps post-surgery fills us with immense pride," stated the vet.
Midnight's path to recovery has commenced, and soon he will be available for adoption. A heartfelt thank you extends to everyone who has contributed to Midnight's well-being thus far. Your generosity is genuinely appreciated!
