"Six Years of Silence: The Unseen Struggle Behind Jake's Salivary Tumor"

After enduring six long years of neglect due to a massive salivary tumor, a lovable dog named Jake is finally receiving the veterinary care he desperately needs. Despite being cherished by his former family, they failed to seek medical attention when Jake's face started to swell, attributing it to a supposed snake bite, according to information provided by the Long Way Home rescue group.

"Jake has been living with a salivary tumor for SIX YEARS, as confirmed by the owners, who believed it was caused by a snake bite. Despite this, he was raised as an indoor dog, displaying impeccable behavior, being house-trained, getting along with other dogs, and even knowing how to shake," detailed the organization.

Last week, Jake was found wandering in a remote area of Texas, prompting Cribs for Canines to step in and negotiate with his family to relinquish ownership so that Jake could receive the necessary veterinary care. Currently undergoing treatment in Waco, Jake has already experienced significant relief after draining a substantial volume of fluid, as reported by the organization.

"We extend our gratitude to the exceptional staff at Texas Animal Medical Center in Waco, particularly Dr. Lide and his colleagues, who have been diligently attending to Jake and draining 1200cc of salivary fluid from his neck. Check out the last two photos to witness the remarkable difference it has made!"

"For THE FIRST TIME IN SIX YEARS, Jake was able to turn his head. Such a simple thing made a tremendous impact! He is eating and digesting properly, in good spirits, and overall appears to be in good condition," stated the agency.

While there are no guarantees of a full recovery, committed individuals are tirelessly working to provide Jake with the best possible chance for a brighter future.
